Young performers from across York Region will take the stage in Aurora on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the annual Aurora Performing Arts Festival. The event will take place at the Aurora Town Square, located at 50 Victoria Street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Presented by Marquee Theatrical Productions in partnership with the Town of Aurora, the festival invites children and youth to compete in solo singing, acting, or dancing acts. For participants in the 13 to 17 age category, the vocal competition offers a special distinction, with the top performer earning the title of 2026 Aurora Teen Idol.
The presenting organization, founded in 2003 by Executive Director Sheryl Thomas, is a registered charity and performing arts school based in Aurora. The group maintains a commitment to equity and inclusion, offering need-based scholarships and accessibility accommodations to ensure children with diverse physical, learning, and social needs can participate.
