The Davide De Simone Performance Hall at Aurora Town Square will welcome Yuk Yuk’s Comedy on Tour featuring headliner Pete Johansson at 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, according to the Town’s Winter 2026 program and the Aurora Town Square “What’s On” listing. The booking is one of a number of professional, ticketed shows the Town is programming at the new, municipally run venue and is expected to draw audiences from across the region. It also provides an early test of recent parking and winter maintenance measures around the cultural hub.

The stand-up showcase will feature MC Dylan Gott and feature comic Keesha Brownie. Tickets are sold through the Aurora Town Square Box Office and online; ticket prices for similar Town Square shows generally range from about $30 to $55. The Davide De Simone Performance Hall has fixed seating for 241 people. Box office and ticketing details are listed on the Town’s Winter 2026 Program Guide and the Aurora Town Square event pages.

Booking Pete Johansson is consistent with the Town of Aurora’s strategy to program higher-profile, ticketed entertainment at the $50-million-plus Aurora Town Square to draw visitors to the downtown core. The cultural centre, sited between the Aurora Public Library and the Church Street School, opened to the public in late 2024. The performance hall was named the Davide De Simone Performance Hall in recognition of a major donation from Royalpark Homes (the De Simone family).

To help accommodate expected crowds for Town Square events, Council approved changes to on-street parking time limits in the downtown in October 2024 — increasing limits in several blocks around the Square from three to four hours to reduce the risk of patrons receiving parking tickets during evening performances. The Town’s winter maintenance program (including sidewalk clearing) remains in effect for the Winter 2026 season; other operational measures to manage traffic and patron safety are overseen by Town staff.

Local restaurants and shops near the Square hope the comedy event will boost downtown foot traffic. Aurora has previously hosted Yuk Yuk’s events (including a Jan. 18, 2025 Yuk Yuk’s date that was reported as sold out), indicating local demand for live comedy. Community members are encouraged to plan their visit early and check parking options before arriving. The Town’s programming department continues to publish additional ticketed performances in the Winter 2026 schedule.
