The York Catholic District School Board has posted PDFs for a Special Board Meeting scheduled for 3:15 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, and a Regular Board Meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Both meetings are listed as taking place at the Catholic Education Centre, 320 Bloomington Road West, and the agendas are available on the board’s Board Agendas & Minutes page (YCDSB).

Parents and community members can download the agenda files from the YCDSB Board Agendas & Minutes portal to review items up for discussion. The board’s posted materials and briefing notes flag items concerning the board’s submission to the 2025–2026 Capital Priorities Program and special-education resourcing.

Separately, the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) has its own meeting materials for December 15, 2025 (SEAC meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m.), and those SEAC documents include the motion: “THAT the new material be approved as presented.” That motion appears in the SEAC agenda/minutes and reflects the committee’s request regarding approval of new special-education materials; it may inform board deliberations about resource allocation for students with higher needs.

With the neighbouring York Region District School Board opening a new secondary school (reported to deliver 1,212 secondary spaces for the 2025–26 school year), the board’s year-end agenda materials note capacity and enrolment pressures that could prompt discussion about attendance boundaries and classroom space. The agendas and supporting documents indicate this is a subject to watch, but they do not show a confirmed board decision on boundary changes at these December meetings. Aurora families concerned about program availability and future capacity are encouraged to review the posted agendas and SEAC materials before the winter break.
