The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is set to host two nights of world-class piano performances this June in Banff, Alberta. As part of the prestigious Art of Piano residency, internationally recognized musicians will perform at the Rolston Recital Hall on June 5 and June 6, 2026.
The concert on Friday, June 5, at 7:30 PM features French pianist Éric Le Sage and American pianist Timo Andres. They will be joined on stage by musicians participating in the two-week residency program. Le Sage, a celebrated representative of the French piano school, brings experience from winning major international competitions, while Andres joins the stage following his 2023/24 Carnegie Hall solo debut.
On Saturday, June 6, also at 7:30 PM, the stage will welcome British pianist Joanna MacGregor and American pianist David Kaplan. MacGregor, who serves as the Head of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music, has performed in over 80 countries. She will be accompanied by Kaplan, an academic and performer known for his adventurous approach to the keyboard.
The Art of Piano program provides emerging pianists with mentorship, masterclasses, and performance opportunities alongside faculty members. Attendees can purchase tickets for either of these performances at $45 per person.
