The Barrie Public Library has launched its full lineup of free activities for March Break 2026, giving families in Barrie, Ontario, several options for local entertainment from March 14 to March 22. These programs are designed to provide parents and caregivers with low-cost ways to keep children occupied during the school break.
Events will be held across the city at the Downtown branch at 60 Worsley St, the Holly branch at 555 Essa Road, Unit 17, and the Painswick branch at 48 Dean Ave. According to library officials, all programs throughout the week are offered at no cost to the public.
The 2026 schedule includes character-themed events such as a Paw Patrol Celebration featuring Chase, a Zootopia Dance Party, and a Mario Kart Tournament for tweens and teens. Other hands-on activities include a LEGO Robotics Showcase, a Drama Camp with theatre games and mask painting, and a Stuffie Vacation where children can leave their plush toys for a special library visit.
While many of the activities are drop-in, some high-demand programs will require free tickets or advance registration due to limited space. Residents can begin signing up for these specific sessions on Monday, March 9, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m. To help families plan their visits, the library has also released specialized reading lists and a digital flyer on its website.
