Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, is looking at a mixed bag of weather this week as Environment Canada calls for sun, showers, and everything in between from June 22 to 28, 2026. The forecast kicks off with a damp Monday but gives way to the warmest day on Tuesday before rain settles in mid-week and conditions improve again by Friday.
According to Environment Canada, drizzle will taper off near noon on Monday, with clearing skies expected later in the day. A high of 9°C near the coast and 13°C inland is in the cards. The real treat comes Tuesday, when sunny skies push temperatures to a high of 20°C, though parts of the coast may stay a touch cooler at 15°C.
The mid-week outlook is less forgiving. Showers are forecast for both Wednesday and Thursday, with highs dipping to 13°C and 12°C respectively. Residents with outdoor plans should keep umbrellas handy, but the rain is expected to clear out in time for the weekend. Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 18°C, Saturday a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 16°C, and Sunday cloudy with a high of 15°C.
Those heading out on the water will find no marine warnings in effect for the Northeast Coast, Environment Canada confirms. Winds are expected to increase from light to southwest 10 to 15 knots later Monday, with seas of 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 metres. Mariners should note that conditions could turn breezier by mid-week, with variable winds reaching 15 knots on Wednesday, increasing to east 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon.
The forecast aligns with typical June weather for the region, where historical normals sit at a high of 18°C and a low of 8°C. Bay Roberts also averages about 10 rainy days in June, with total precipitation around 66 millimetres. Daylight is generous this time of year, with sunrise at 5:05 a.m. NDT and sunset at 9:05 p.m. NDT, giving residents ample time to enjoy any sunny breaks.
