The Songs, Stages, and Seafood Festival will bring local food and music back to Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, from May 21 to May 24, 2026. This annual event celebrates the community’s maritime culture with five ticketed programs held at various locations, including the Bay Arena.
A new addition for 2026 is the Harbour Hop Culinary Pub Crawl taking place on May 21, 2026. This 19-plus event uses a bus to transport guests to four different venues for local food and live performances by musician Todd Barteau.
The Hooked On Local seafood showcase begins on May 22, 2026, while May 23 features a guided hike along the Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail. Hikers will visit the Red Shed for traditional fried dough treats called toutons and music before a formal Land and Sea dinner that evening.
On May 24, 2026, the NL Fishcake Championship will see up to 10 chefs compete for the best recipe. This contest is presented by Powell’s Supermarket and allows attendees to taste the entries and vote for a winner.
According to the Town of Bay Roberts, all festival events with the exception of the NL Fishcake Championship are restricted to adults aged 19 and older. Tickets must be purchased in advance online as none will be available for sale at the event entrances.
