The Beaumont Ball Hockey League (BBHL) is opening registration for its 2026 season on February 1, 2026, in Beaumont, Alberta. Local families who sign up before March 1, 2026, can access early-bird pricing for the upcoming season. Games take place at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre, where children play on the dry arena floor rather than ice.

The league is open to youth ages 5 to 17, with divisions running U5 through U17 (birth years listed by the league). Most divisions are priced at about $210, which the league’s materials indicate covers 10 regular-season games plus two guaranteed playoff games. Organizers say they expect spots in the younger divisions (children born between 2017 and 2021 — U5 through U9) to fill quickly once registration begins.

Parents can register online through the league website via the TeamLinkt platform. The Alberta Minor Ball Hockey Association (AMBHA) is the provincial sanctioning body that provides the regulatory framework and insurance for AMBHA-sanctioned leagues. For 2026 the BBHL’s published schedule shows the season running from early April to late June (regular season April 11–June 28, with divisional finals the weekend of June 27–28).

League organizers say keeping games at the local recreation centre helps foster a hometown atmosphere, allowing kids to play in front of friends and family. The International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) has noted that parents often find ball hockey an affordable, low-equipment option for maintaining hockey skills in the off-season. Families can find more details or ask questions via the BBHL website and the league’s contact email (info@bbhl.ca).
