The Purple Tie Foundation is bringing its annual Royal Gala to the Beaumont Community Centre in Beaumont, Alberta, on May 16, 2026. This formal event aims to raise money for mental health and anti-bullying programs that support local students in junior high schools.

The evening will include a multi-course dinner, a silent auction, and live entertainment for guests. This is the first time the fundraiser will be held in Beaumont, as previous events took place in Edmonton.

Founder Moriah Inyang-Otu started the organization to help young people feel valued while dealing with difficult social issues like bullying. Money raised from the gala will fund workshops for students in Grades 7 through 9 within the Black Gold School Division and St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Schools.

Tickets for the gala are $75 each, though early-bird pricing is available for those who buy before February 1, 2026. These funds help provide resources that school boards say are increasingly needed to support the mental wellness of local youth.
