The Beaumont City Council will meet as a Committee of the Whole on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall to discuss local services and utility planning in Beaumont, Alberta. This meeting provides an opportunity for residents to hear details on upcoming community projects and how municipal decisions will affect household costs this year.

The 2026 municipal budget includes a utility fee increase of $15.46 per month for a typical home to cover the costs of local infrastructure. Additionally, property taxes for a home valued at $500,000 are set to increase by about $13.73 per month to help fund new staff positions, including two full-time firefighters and two community peace officers.

Council members are also expected to discuss the Clean Energy Improvement Program, which is expected to launch for homeowners before the end of March 2026. This new initiative will allow residents to finance energy-saving home upgrades through their property tax bills.

The meeting will also cover progress on the Innovation Park, a 160-acre business development located south of Highway 625. This project is currently in the phase where officials plan out the necessary water and power lines to support the site as the community continues to grow past 21,000 residents.
