The Beaumont Music Festival is launching a monthly event in Beaumont, Alberta, to give local musicians a regular place to play and help organizers find new talent for their summer lineup. The first session will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, and the series will recur on the first Sunday of every month, offering a stage for both new and experienced artists.

The event will be held at the Sea Change Tap Room located at 5302 50 St. Starting at 7 p.m., the open stage provides a professional setting for performers to share their music with a live audience in their own community.

Organizers created the series to build a year-round music culture and to make it easier to discover local acts for the main festival held every June. This initiative follows the festival’s recent move to feature only Canadian artists across many different musical styles.

The program is a partnership with the Beaumont Society for the Arts, which helps ensure the event is all-ages and community-focused. The taproom venue is already known as a hub for the local arts scene and frequently hosts community gatherings.

Musicians who want to play can sign up in person at the venue on the night of the event; performers can also inquire via the venue’s Beaumont contact email (bmnt@seachangebeer.com). Performance spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and the public is encouraged to attend and support the local talent.
