The City of Beaumont, Alberta, has started its 2026 spring and summer construction season to upgrade local water systems and repair roads. The City of Beaumont officially announced the start of the work on March 2, 2026, as part of an effort to keep up with the community’s growth.

This year, the city is focusing on extending regional water feed lines and upgrading pumphouses. Crews will also work on renewing the wastewater system to ensure essential services remain reliable for residents.

In addition to the major utility work, the city will carry out standard seasonal maintenance. This includes repairing potholes and painting lines on roads throughout the area.

Residents can track the location and progress of major construction projects through the city’s online Capital Projects Dashboard. The city is urging people to follow local signs and be aware of potential travel delays in active work zones.
