The 39th annual Brokenhead River Agricultural Conference is set for February 3 and 4, 2026, at the Brokenhead River Community Hall in Beausejour, Manitoba. This two-day event brings together local farmers and industry experts to share the latest research and techniques before the busy spring season begins.

The conference is hosted by the Brokenhead Agricultural Society in partnership with Manitoba Agriculture. Sessions are organized to help producers with crop yields, livestock care and financial planning. The first day focuses on beef and forages, while the second day is dedicated to grain and crop production.

Organizers say the conference also features a trade show — reported to attract almost 70 exhibitors in 2026 — including seed and chemical suppliers, local banks and equipment companies. (Rocky Mountain Equipment has provided Ag Society support in the past through a 2024 grant.)

Organizers describe the gathering as a key networking event for the community; the program includes technical workshops and a hot lunch each day. It serves as a mid-winter opportunity for neighbours and producers to catch up on new technology and local farming trends in a face-to-face setting.

Registration is typically $20 per day and covers the sessions and the lunch. Farmers and rural business owners can find the full program and sign-up details on the Brokenhead Agricultural Society event page or contact the event organizers (braceventinfo@gmail.com) for more information.
