On January 30–31, 2026, the Beausejour Curling Club hosted a sold-out two-day 2-person stick bonspiel at the Beausejour Sportsplex in Beausejour, Manitoba. The field featured 24 teams from across the region, and the weekend is drawing additional attention because a 50/50 ticket from the event has not yet been claimed.

The club posted the playoff winners on its website: A-event champions Ralph Nespor and Ross McMillan, and B-event champions Harold Peterson and Herb Sulkers. The bonspiel is a stop on the Manitoba Stick Curling Tour, where teams earn MSCT points that contribute to provincial standings later in the season.

Club officials are asking players and spectators to check their pockets, bags and ticket stubs for the unclaimed 50/50 ticket. According to club communications, the cash prize remained unclaimed as of Monday evening (Feb. 2, 2026), and organizers said they hope to identify the winner before the end of the week.

The event is part of the province’s growing stick-curling circuit; stick play uses a delivery stick and six-end, two-person rules that make the sport accessible for veteran players and curlers with limited mobility — a trend noted in stick-curling coverage such as The Curler and reflected in MSCA materials.

Organizers described the weekend as a strong success for the club and the local curling community, pointing to the sold-out 24-team draw and broad volunteer and community support over the two days.
