The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority has confirmed the doctor coverage for the Beausejour Primary Health Care Centre emergency room in Beausejour, Manitoba, for March 1 to 15, 2026. Knowing when a doctor is working at the facility helps local families understand if they can get care close to home or if they might be sent to another hospital.

When a doctor is not on-site at the 30-bed hospital, patients may be moved by ambulance to larger facilities in Selkirk or Winnipeg. This can change how the Town of Beausejour fire and ambulance crews manage their trips and how quickly they can respond to other local emergencies.

Families in the town and the RM of Brokenhead are encouraged to call the health authority audio line at 1-866-267-5818 to check the current status before they leave home. The doctor availability can change without notice if a physician becomes ill or needs to travel with a patient who requires specialized care at a different medical centre.

Medical care at the clinic and emergency room is provided by local doctors, including Dr. Gerges, Dr. Nepomuceno, Dr. Shrestha, Dr. Nijjar, and Dr. Parvez. Checking the current availability ensures that people in the community get the most direct care possible during the first half of the month.
