On February 9, 2026, a locally owned delivery service launched in Behchokǫ̀ (Behchoko), Northwest Territories, to help residents and businesses move urgent packages and freight more quickly. The service connects the community with Edzo, Yellowknife and Whatì, providing a faster way to transport items such as car parts, medical supplies and retail orders.

The service uses light‑ to medium‑duty trucks — including 4×4 pickup configurations reported in initial briefings — capable of year‑round travel on the Tłı̨chǫ Highway (Highway 9). Exact fleet size and detailed vehicle specifications have not been publicly confirmed.

Since the Tłı̨chǫ Highway opened on Nov. 30, 2021, the Tłı̨chǫ Government has said improved road access has helped communities enjoy year‑round access to vital services. Operators and local businesses say the new delivery runs could help lower the cost of living by making it easier for small shops to keep their shelves stocked without long delays.

Shipping to northern areas can be difficult due to long distances and unique geography. Logistics provider Mactrans notes these challenges often make it harder to move goods to the territories compared with southern Canada. By focusing on urgent local deliveries, the new service provides a specialized option for people who need items moved within hours instead of days.
