Hundreds of cyclists pedalled through Muskoka on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride North celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, raising $2.2 million for cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The charity ride, powered by the Pass It Along Foundation, offered four route options from 40 km to 160 km. Riders passed scenic Muskoka landmarks such as the Muskoka Airport runway and Muskoka Brewery, with longer routes adding stops at Port Sydney Dam and South Portage Park.

This year’s theme, ‘Carry The Fire,’ reflects the ongoing mission to create a world free from the fear of cancer. Over its decade-long history, the event has raised more than $7 million for life-saving research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

T.J. Donnelly, president of the Les Domestiques Cycling Club and honorary chair of the 2026 ride, was the top individual fundraiser with $314,796.50. His team, Les Domestiques and Friends, led all teams by raising $1,271,578.03.

Among the approximately 500 riders was Jamie Green, a brain cancer survivor diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2021. Green completed the 75 km route on his five-year survival anniversary, marking his fourth Ride North.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride North began as the Northern Pass to Conquer Cancer and has become a signature summer event in Bracebridge, supporting one of Canada’s largest cancer research centres.
