The Town of Bracebridge is looking to fill 20 Camp Counsellor positions for its summer recreation programs, with applications open until the roles are filled. The contract part‑time positions run from May 4 to August 28, 2026, and pay between $20.05 and $20.85 per hour.

Camp Counsellors will plan and deliver inclusive, engaging activities for children and youth and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. According to the Town job posting, candidates must have Standard First Aid and CPR Level C and be able to provide a current vulnerable sector police check. The posting lists HIGH FIVE (Principles of Healthy Child Development) among the qualifications. Applicants must send a cover letter and resume, quoting File 2025‑E‑034 and including their first and last name, to humanresources@bracebridge.ca.

This hiring surge comes as the Town supports the operationalization and expanded services at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre and other facilities, as reflected in recent municipal budget communications. The Town’s 2026 Budget and Business Plan describes a “generational investment of nearly $100 million,” a point emphasized by Mayor Rick Maloney in the budget release.

With more staff on board, the Town aims to offer a wider range of camps at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre and the Bracebridge Sportsplex to support families during peak summer months. Seasonal workers can gain experience in youth programming while helping meet local demand for safe, staffed activities.
