The Brandon Area Community Foundation (BACF) has launched a search for a new Executive Director to lead its philanthropic and grantmaking work in Brandon, Manitoba. The hiring notice was posted in early February 2026 and seeks a leader to manage the foundation’s local grant programs and community investments.

The person hired for the role will oversee more than $15 million in assets and play a central role in how the foundation awards grants to local non‑profits. The position is responsible for decisions that affect funding across health, education and social services in Brandon and the broader Southwestern Manitoba region.

According to the Brandon Area Community Foundation, the foundation has returned over $10 million in grants since it was established in 1965 and has recently passed the $15 million milestone in assets.

The incoming director will also oversee the rollout of the 2026 Thomas Sill Manitoba Fund Grant Program. BACF’s grant page lists the 2026 application portal as open in early February (Feb. 3–23, 2026) and describes grants available for practical community projects (maximum grant $5,000). The draft’s statement that the 2026 intake includes a matching‑funds component is not confirmed on BACF’s 2026 grant materials and is therefore unverified.

Founded on May 11, 1965, BACF is the second‑oldest community foundation in Manitoba. The foundation is listed on CanadaHelps to accept online donations. Applications for the Executive Director position are currently open as the foundation enters its 61st year of operation.
