The United Way West Central Manitoba will host the Flourish Wellness Conference on April 13, 2026, at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in Brandon, Manitoba. This one-day event is designed to give teachers, social workers, and local caregivers practical tools to manage stress and stay healthy while helping others.
The conference is a major part of a new program called The Breathing Room, which received support from the Province of Manitoba to help people working on the front lines of community service. Organizers say the goal is to help those who often put their own needs last while dealing with the long-term effects of the pandemic and the growing demand for local services.
The auditorium can hold about 800 people. The event will feature workshops led by community wellness leaders; United Way West Central Manitoba lists CEO Cynamon Mychasiw and Jamie Stouffer (Director of Staff Development and Community Wellness) among the senior staff organizing The Breathing Room, though a full speaker/facilitator lineup has not yet been published. While registration is not yet open, United Way plans to offer leadership training and other wellness resources (including the “Leading Together” program) in the months leading up to the main event in 2026.
