The YMCA of Brandon is reopening its leisure pool on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Dood Cristall Family YMCA in Brandon, Manitoba, following a maintenance project that finishes just in time for Spring Break.
The pool was closed on March 21, 2026, to allow for necessary tile repairs. Other aquatic activities, such as lap swimming and Special Olympics Manitoba programs, continued in the main lap pool while the leisure area was shut down.
Staff are now refilling the pool to prepare for the Spring Break pool schedule, which begins on the reopening date and runs through April 5, 2026. Families will once again have access to features like the water slides, lazy river, and hot tub during the school holiday.
The facility was originally built with more than $8 million in funding from the City of Brandon and the provincial and federal governments. This charitable organization has served the local community for 140 years and offers financial assistance to ensure everyone can access its services.
