The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is currently underway at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba, offering families an affordable way to celebrate the final days of the spring break period.
Running from March 30 to April 4, 2026, the fair provides free admission for children under 5 years of age. Organizers expect between 40,000 and 50,000 visitors to attend the event throughout the week to explore over 300 agricultural and commercial exhibits.
The event, themed A Royal Celebration of Agriculture and Community, is organized by the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba. It is one of only two fairs in the country to hold royal patronage, a designation received from Queen Elizabeth II in 1970. The fair has also been recognized as one of the Top 100 Events in North America.
Families looking to attend can take advantage of various ticket options. While adult tickets are $25 and youth or senior tickets are $22, children aged 6 to 12 can receive complimentary admission through a sponsorship program provided by Manitoba Hydro, provided tickets were claimed online before March 29. Additionally, the fair has designated Thursday, April 2, 2026, as Forever Royal Kids Day.
Kristen Laing Breemersch, the manager of operations and acting general manager for the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba, noted that the organization is working alongside Manitoba Public Health to ensure visitor safety. A booth has been established at the event where representatives are available to answer health questions and provide measles vaccinations upon request.
