A new men’s grooming business is coming to Bridgewater, as Big Moustache Barbershop celebrates the opening of its first location in the region on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The new shop, located at 4 Pinegrove Road, will host a grand opening event from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM featuring live music, food trucks, and giveaways, with free haircuts offered to the first 50 guests.
This expansion marks the first time the company has moved outside of the Halifax area, where it currently operates five locations. Founded just before the pandemic by two immigrant entrepreneurs from India and Syria, the business has grown from a two-chair operation to a team of 40 barbers. The founders have received recognition for their work, including awards for Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year and Asian Heritage Entrepreneur of the Year.
The company chose Bridgewater for its new site due to the town’s steady growth. As the largest town in the South Shore region, Bridgewater serves a catchment area of approximately 50,000 people within a 30-minute drive. The new barbershop will be situated on Pinegrove Road, joining other major shops and businesses in the community.
In addition to providing services like fades, beard trims, and kids’ cuts, the company is currently recruiting locally for the new location. Openings for both apprentice and master barber positions are available for those interested in joining the team.
