Residents in the Town of Bridgewater and the District of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, will see changes to their curbside waste collection routes starting March 30, 2026. South Shore Waste Solutions is updating these routes to help the regional waste management system run more efficiently.
In the Town of Bridgewater, the service will move to four main collection routes. These pickups will now be completed each week over a four-day period from Tuesday to Friday.
Because many households will have a different collection day or time, residents are encouraged to confirm their new pickup information. People can look up their specific address on the R6RECYCLES app or by checking the calendars available through the Lunenburg Regional Community Recycling Centre.
These updates are part of broader efforts by the Municipal Joint Services Board to modernize local waste services. Residents should also watch for service alerts starting March 15, 2026, when spring weight restrictions begin on regional roads.
