Residents in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, should prepare for a quick change in weather as rain turns into a mix of snow and ice pellets early Friday morning. According to Environment Canada, the shift is expected to happen between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on March 13, 2026.

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly during the night, falling from 5°C late Thursday night to -2°C by 6:00 a.m. on Friday. This freeze could cause leftover moisture on the roads to turn into ice, creating slippery conditions for the Friday morning commute.

The weather service predicts a 100 percent chance of precipitation during this transition period. Even though conditions are changing, there were no official weather alerts in effect for the community as of midday on March 12, 2026.

People traveling on Friday morning should be cautious as the mixture of snow and ice pellets may make sidewalks and roads dangerous. The freezing conditions are expected to stay through the early morning hours.
