The Brockville Arts Centre is preparing to host the Stars of the Festival awards night on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, marking the conclusion of this year’s Brockville Music Festival. The event, which runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, will honour performers who received top marks from adjudicators during the week-long festival.
Tickets for the awards night are available for $8.18. This year, the festival will introduce the inaugural Bruce Alexander Award to honour the memory of a beloved member of the local music community.
The music festival has a long history in the city, having been established in 1951 by the Brockville Lions Club. For over 70 years, the event has provided musicians of all ages with the opportunity to perform for the public and receive professional feedback.
April remains a busy month for live music in the city, with Upperhand Underground coordinating Jazz Appreciation Month. These free performances take place every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brockville Public Library.
The jazz series is presented in partnership with the Upper Canada Musicians Association and is sponsored by the Music Performance Trust Fund. The series concludes on April 25 with a performance by the Saxobelles.
