The Brockville Fire Department is now accepting applications for its third annual Belles and Ladders firefighter camp in Brockville, Ontario. This free three-day program takes place from July 22 to July 24, 2026, and offers local youth the chance to experience hands-on training and learn about careers in emergency services.
The camp is open to youth between the ages of 15 and 18, specifically targeting girls and those who identify beyond the binary framework. Participants will gain experience in firefighting skills while building leadership, confidence, and teamwork through various training activities.
Interested residents have until May 22, 2026, to submit their applications for the summer program. The fire department uses this initiative as a way to encourage more young people to consider a future career in the fire service.
