St. Lawrence College announced on February 25, 2026, that it is opening two new high-tech classrooms that will give students in Brockville, Ontario, more ways to attend classes. These flexible learning spaces are located at the college campuses in Kingston and Cornwall but are designed to connect students across all locations through advanced video and audio technology.

According to St. Lawrence College, the new rooms feature moveable desks and large whiteboard areas to make learning more interactive. The technology allows for a hybrid style of teaching, meaning students can choose to be in the classroom, join a live session from home, or watch a recorded lesson at another time.

A major benefit for the local community is the ability to link the classrooms together so a single teacher can host a class in multiple cities at once. This setup will allow Brockville students to take part in specialized courses or programs that were previously only offered at the larger campuses.

The new spaces are located in Room 33140 on the Kingston campus and Room A3042 in Cornwall. The college is inviting the public and students to visit the rooms during an open house on March 4, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This project is part of the Flexible Learning Strategic Initiative, which aims to modernize the college teaching methods through 2027. The new classrooms will be fully open for regular student schedules starting in the Fall 2026 semester.
