The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating two separate thefts that took place in Cambridge, Ontario, on the evening of February 16, 2026. The incidents happened just two hours apart in different shopping and residential areas of the city.

Officers first responded to a report of stolen items worth less than $5,000 on Hespeler Road at approximately 6:00 p.m. A second theft involving items of a similar value was reported on Myers Road later that night at about 8:00 p.m.

These reports come after a string of other crimes in the community, including a series of lottery ticket thefts from local convenience stores earlier this year. According to the Waterloo Regional Police Service, those thefts occurred between January 15 and February 11, 2026, at businesses on Beverly Street, King Street, and Hespeler Road.

Local residents and business owners are being asked to check their security cameras for any unusual activity or footage that might help identify those involved in these and other property crimes in the Hespeler area.
