The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating an armed robbery that took place at Victoria Park in West Galt, Cambridge, on the afternoon of March 28, 2026. A youth was biking through the 12.7-hectare City of Cambridge park at approximately 3:35 p.m. when he was confronted by a man who demanded money while holding a small knife. The youth turned over cash and was not physically injured during the encounter, after which the suspect fled toward a nearby wooded area.
Police have released a description of the suspect, who is identified as a White male, approximately 40 years old and 5’8″ tall. He has a thin build and a beard, and was last seen wearing a grey hat, a brown jacket, and light-coloured jeans. Authorities are now asking anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
