Camrose students at the University of Alberta’s Augustana campus have until early 2026 to plan their winter getaway to Edmonton. The Augustana Students’ Association (ASA) — in partnership with the University of Alberta Students’ Union (UASU) — has opened RSVPs for Tidal Wave 2026, its annual private takeover of the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark set for Friday, February 6, 2026.

Tidal Wave gives Augustana students exclusive, private access to 17 waterslides, hot tubs and the world’s largest indoor wave pool beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are subsidized by the University of Alberta Students’ Union (UASU) to keep costs at $20 for UAlberta students; regular WEM World Waterpark admission is typically about $60. Augustana attendees can reserve a spot and buy their ticket through the ASA event listing: https://www.asa.su.ualberta.ca/event-details/tidal-wave-2026.

To address the roughly 100 km (about a one‑hour) commute from Camrose to Edmonton, students may add bus transportation during checkout. The Augustana Students’ Association arranges a dedicated shuttle; students can secure a seat on the return trip by purchasing the bus add‑on during checkout (Augustana Bus Add‑On: $10). Space on the bus is limited and will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Tidal Wave has been a cornerstone of the Augustana experience for decades, helping students from rural Camrose connect with peers on the main Edmonton campus. By announcing the 2026 date more than a year in advance, the ASA and the University of Alberta Students’ Union reaffirm their commitment to high‑profile social events that boost campus morale. Students are encouraged to secure their tickets early before they sell out.
