Camrose Residents can have a direct say in how the city spends their tax dollars at a Budget Open House on June 3, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers at 5204 – 50 Avenue.
The drop-in event lets people talk face-to-face with council members and city staff about the 2027–2028 budget. Attendees can learn how the city weighs community needs against available dollars and can share which services matter most to them.
Council wants to hear what residents value—parks, roads, recreation, or other programs—before the numbers are set. “Join us to have your voice heard and help decide which popular services matter most,” the city says in its open house notice.
The session kicks off a months-long budget process that includes a community support review in September, departmental presentations in November, and a second public open house on December 7, 2026. Final budget approval is slated for December 21, 2026, at a regular council meeting.
Planning is already underway. At the May 4 council meeting, elected members gave direction on how community groups will be funded. City staff will contact those groups this month to gather information for a fall review.
Mayor PJ Stasko and the eight councillors, all sworn in after the October 2025 election, encourage Camrose residents to attend the June 3 open house and help shape the community’s next two-year financial plan.
