Camrose County, Alberta, residents have until March 2, 2026, to pay any outstanding 2025 property taxes before a new penalty is added to their accounts. This deadline serves as a final reminder for homeowners and businesses to clear their balances to avoid a large extra charge on what they owe.

On March 2, Camrose County will apply a 12 per cent penalty to the total amount still owing. This charge applies to any remaining debt from the 2025 tax year, which was originally due on July 31, 2025.

The upcoming penalty follows earlier charges applied throughout the year to encourage on-time payments. According to property tax information from the county, late payers were already charged 2 per cent in August and 10 per cent in November of last year.

While the standard penalty date is typically March 1, the deadline was moved to Monday, March 2, 2026, because March 1 falls on a Sunday. Paying the balance before this date helps residents avoid extra costs and potential collection actions by the municipality.
