The victory at the Drumheller Memorial Arena gives the Eagles a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Alberta Junior Hockey League South Division Final.
The two teams will meet again for Game 4 on April 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM in Drumheller. If the Eagles win this upcoming matchup, they will officially eliminate the Dragons and advance to the next round of the playoffs.
The Eagles built their current lead with strong performances throughout the series. They opened the playoffs with a 5-4 overtime win on April 3, followed by a 4-0 shutout victory on April 4 at the Canmore Recreation Centre. The team’s defensive success has been anchored by goaltender Alex Scheiwiller, who is a finalist for both the league’s Most Valuable Player and Top Goaltender awards.
