The team earned its spot in the second round on March 29, 2026, after defeating the Calgary Canucks 4-0 in Game 6. This victory allowed the Eagles to clinch their best-of-seven series with a total of four wins to two. The Eagles will now wait for the outcome of a game tonight, March 31, 2026, between the Drumheller Dragons and the Camrose Kodiaks to see who they will face in the next round of the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs.
The Eagles, a community-owned, non-profit organization, finished the 2025-26 regular season in second place in the South Division. The team is led by head coach and general manager Andrew Milne, who was a finalist for the league’s Coach of the Year award this season. Additionally, goaltender Alexander Scheiwiller was recognized as the league’s top goaltender, leading the Alberta Junior Hockey League with a .921 save percentage and recording 22 wins, the most among goaltenders in the South Division.
