The Canmore Eagles hockey club is inviting fans and families to join players on the ice for a community skate in Canmore, Alberta, on February 15, 2026. This special event will take place at the Alex Kaleta Memorial Arena immediately following the team’s home game against the Lloydminster Bobcats.

The post-game skate is part of the Alberta Family Day long weekend activities and offers a chance for residents to meet the players in a relaxed setting. Fans will need a valid ticket to the afternoon hockey game to participate, with the skating session starting about 20 minutes after the final buzzer.

Participants are asked to bring their own skates and safety gear, but the Town of Canmore notes that some rentals are available at the arena. For the safety of all guests, helmets are mandatory for any skaters under the age of 13 while they are on the ice.

The Eagles are a community-owned team that uses these events to build local support and provide family-friendly activities. According to the Alberta Junior Hockey League, this game and skate are expected to be highlights of the winter season for local hockey fans.
