The Carberry Cougars varsity boys basketball team is headed to the provincial finals after a big win in their regional tournament. The team from Carberry Collegiate in Manitoba qualified for the 2026 Provincial AA Championship tournament following a successful season.
The team earned its spot in the provincial competition after winning the Zone 7 finals on March 3, 2026. They defeated Minnedosa Collegiate with a final score of 86-62 to secure the regional title.
Head coach Chris Unrau and assistant coach Ryan Robson lead the squad as they prepare for the final games of the year. The tournament hosted by the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association will take place from March 19 to March 21, 2026.
This provincial appearance is the final event of the 2025–2026 season for the Cougars. The competition will bring together the top teams from across the province to compete for the championship title.
