The Municipality of North Cypress-Langford is inviting residents to an open house for its Emergency Medical Responder program on March 24, 2026, in Carberry, Manitoba. This event will show how local responders help the community and what it takes to join the volunteer team.
The meeting will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Carberry North Cypress-Langford Fire & Rescue hall at 515 4th Ave. Visitors can look at the medical equipment used during emergencies and learn about the training required to become a responder.
Local emergency services are currently provided by a group of volunteer men and women who serve both the town and the surrounding municipality. The Municipality of North Cypress-Langford Council, led by Reeve Ray Drayson, oversees the program and the support it provides to the region.
Attendees will have the chance to find out how they can volunteer or support the service to help keep local emergency response times fast. This open house is part of an effort to ensure the community remains safe and has enough trained people to help during medical calls.
