The Town of Carberry in Manitoba launched a community survey on March 25, 2026, to give residents a chance to weigh in on the community’s future goals. The survey is designed to help local leaders understand what matters most to the 1,818 people who live in the town as they plan for upcoming projects and services.
The Town of Carberry is asking for this feedback to help the council build a plan that will guide the community through 2030. The town has set a goal to grow its population to 2,500 people by focusing on new businesses and building more homes over the next several years.
Mayor Ray Muirhead and the Town of Carberry Council are looking for specific input on local priorities such as healthcare access, housing development, and transportation for seniors. This planning process follows a successful local effort to secure a provincial overpass at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and PTH 5, where construction is expected to start in 2027.
The Community Strategic Plan Survey is currently open and available for all households to complete. The results will be used by the council to ensure the town grows in a way that is fair and improves the quality of life for all residents.
