The Beautiful Plains School Division (BPSD) has published a January 2026 events calendar on its divisional website, giving families in Carberry, Manitoba, advance notice of semester-end dates and other key milestones for Carberry Collegiate Institute (CCI).
According to the division’s calendar, students are expected to return to classes after the winter break on January 5, 2026 (date noted as pending final divisional confirmation). The month is also expected to include an administration/professional development day on January 30, 2026, meaning students would not attend that day (subject to final confirmation).
For Grade 12 students, provincial testing dates follow Manitoba Education’s schedule: the Semester 1 Grade 12 English Language Arts standards test is scheduled for January 6–9, 2026, and Grade 12 mathematics provincial tests for Semester 1 are scheduled on January 20–22, 2026 (different mathematics courses are assessed on separate days). The division’s calendar places local exam windows and assessment deadlines in the lead-up to those provincial testing dates.
The calendar was posted well in advance to help families and staff plan for the 2025–26 school year. The division’s administrative team, under Superintendent Jason Young and overseen by the Board of Trustees, says the early release provides long-range transparency for parents organizing child care and helps staff align semester 1 final assessments and grade entry with the January administrative timeline.
