Carman Collegiate in Carman, Manitoba, will begin holding early morning practice sessions for its varsity badminton team on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The school is opening the gym from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to give student athletes more time to play before the regular school day starts.
These morning sessions are also set for Friday, March 6, 2026. Principal Mary Reimer and Vice-Principal Marc Tellier lead the school, which competes in badminton through the MHSAA and Zone 4 sports leagues. These extra hours allow players to prepare for the upcoming spring season.
Families should plan for earlier drop-off times if their students wish to attend these practices. The school reminds all players and visitors that the building remains a strict nut-free and scent-free zone during all extracurricular activities.
According to the Prairie Rose School Division, the school has other key events coming up later this month. Parent-teacher interviews take place on March 19 and March 20, 2026, with spring break beginning on March 30, 2026.
