The Boyne Regional Library is hosting a free, hands-on seed-starting workshop on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Carman, Manitoba. This event is designed to help local residents get a head start on their gardens as the spring growing season approaches.

Janet from the Carman Garden Club will lead the session, sharing practical planting techniques with the community. The workshop is open to library members of all experience levels, ranging from those who have never gardened before to seasoned growers. Due to limited space, there is a limit of one participant per household.

All necessary materials and supplies will be provided at no cost, allowing residents to learn new skills and exchange gardening tips without needing to bring their own equipment. A library membership is required to participate.

The library and the garden club are organizing the event to encourage local residents to connect and share knowledge. It offers a timely opportunity for gardeners to prepare their projects before the outdoor planting window opens later in the year. Registration for the session opened on March 11.
