The Town of Carman has posted its 2026 pickup calendars for Zone 1 and Zone 2 on the Garbage & Recycling page. The PDFs labelled “Carman Z1 2026” and “Carman Z2 2026” include zone maps and scheduled collection dates for garbage, recycling and compost for the period January 1 to December 31, 2026.
Zone 1 covers North Carman. RM of Dufferin residents who are eligible to opt in (those within two miles of the town lights) are classified as Zone 1 for service, while Zone 2 serves South Carman. The calendars show alternating weekly pickups for trash and recycling, with organic waste collected seasonally from April to November.
The town’s early release gives roughly 3,100 residents and eligible rural participants about one year to plan under the automated cart system introduced in April 2021. If the calendars don’t appear on the home page, they can be found under Department > Waste Management on the town website.
For items too large or hazardous for curbside service, the Carman Transfer Station is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Transfer Station is not a landfill; materials collected there are transported to other locations for final disposal.
