The Town of Carman, Manitoba, officially lifted a precautionary boil water advisory on March 3, 2026, for properties along 1st Street SW and 1st Avenue SW. Local officials ended the notice after water samples were tested and confirmed to be safe for drinking and cooking.

The advisory was originally issued because the water system lost pressure while crews were performing repairs on the town pipes. This impacted residents and businesses on 1st Street SW between Centre Avenue W and 1st Avenue SW, and along 1st Avenue SW out to Highway 13.

Town officials use these notices as a standard safety step when water pipes lose pressure to ensure no contamination enters the system. Now that the testing is complete, residents in the affected area are no longer required to boil their water before consumption.
