Seniors in Casselman, Ontario, will have a new way to stay active this winter with free exercise classes starting in early 2026. The weekly program is designed for residents aged 55 and older and will run on Monday mornings at the Paul-Émile Lévesque Hall.
The classes are organized through a partnership between the Municipality of Casselman and the Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie (CSCE). Sessions take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every Monday starting January 19, 2026, and ending March 30, 2026.
These drop-in sessions aim to help older adults improve their balance and stay social during the coldest months of the year. Instructors provided by the CSCE will lead the group through low-impact movements that are safe and easy to follow for all fitness levels at the community hall located at 756 Brébeuf St.
The town updated its multi-year accessibility plan (most recently renewed Sept. 26, 2023) and has made recent accessibility upgrades to municipal facilities. While the program is free and described as drop-in, residents should check the Municipality of Casselman events calendar and contact the CSCE to confirm whether pre-registration or a client intake is required and to learn about any space limits before the first class.
