At Chatham-Kent Museum, located at 75 William St. N. in Chatham, registration opens December 8, 2025, for a winter slate of family and education programs running through March 2026. Offerings include free monthly Kids Club events, a PA Day “Prehistoric Party” on January 30 and a March Break “Imagination Lab” from March 16–20. These low-cost, no-fee sessions aim to engage children while weekday and school-break visitation is normally low.

The Kids Club series features themed events such as Noon Year’s Eve, Frosty Fete, Black History Month programming, Family Day and Hello Spring. Sessions take place in the museum’s interactive “Imagination Station” on the second floor. Sponsors Karen Ewald Wealth Management (RBC Dominion Securities) and Waste Connections of Chatham-Kent help keep these monthly events free for families.

The January 30 PA Day Prehistoric Party will include hands-on fossil activities, while the Imagination Lab during March Break offers creative workshops each day from March 16 to 20. Capacity for camps and events generally ranges from 15 to 30 participants, and past programs have sold out within 48 hours of opening.

By drawing families downtown during the colder months, the museum’s winter programs support nearby businesses such as the Retro Suites Hotel and local restaurants. VisitCK is promoting these activities as part of its “See You in CK” winter campaign to boost tourism and community engagement.

Parents can secure spots starting December 8 through the Municipality of Chatham-Kent’s online portal or in person at the Cultural Centre box office. Early registration is recommended to avoid sold-out sessions.
