The University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus in Ridgetown, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, will host its Spring Open House in late March 2026, giving local students and residents a chance to tour facilities and meet faculty ahead of next fall’s intake.

Visitors can sign up through the Ridgetown Campus website or the OUInfo portal. The day includes guided campus tours, residence viewings and information sessions tailored to agriculture, environmental management, equine care, horticulture and veterinary technology programs.

The campus is home to the Rudy H. Brown Rural Development Centre and veterinary teaching clinics, giving students hands-on experience in a small, community-focused setting. Campus officials say the smaller class sizes help faculty know students by name and support hands-on learning.

For Chatham-Kent high schoolers weighing their post-secondary options, the open house offers a look at local pathways that keep them close to home and connected to the region’s agri-food sector. A 2022 economic report estimates the Ridgetown Campus contributes about $83.8 million each year to the local economy. Registration for the Spring Open House is expected to open in early 2026; confirm the exact open-house date on the campus events page before final publication.
