Local author C.B. Czech will give a public talk at the Cochrane Public Library in Cochrane, Ontario, today to discuss the creative process behind writing fiction. The event gives residents a chance to meet a published writer and learn about the creative and publishing processes behind a book.
The session runs from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the Rotary Lounge and will focus on how the author developed his latest work, Touch. Attendees will hear about building imaginary worlds and the steps involved in getting a book published during the one-hour event, which includes a Q&A.
While the event is free for the public, the Cochrane Public Library requires residents to register ahead of time because seating in the Rotary Lounge is limited. Registration is available via the library’s website or in person at the library front desk.
C.B. Czech (Corey Czech), who lives and works in Northern Ontario, often writes in a multi-genre, speculative style that blends western, supernatural thriller and steampunk fantasy elements. This event aligns with the Town of Cochrane’s interest in supporting library programming outside standard business hours and the library’s recent efforts to offer more evening programs for residents who work during the day.
