On March 11, 2026, the Blue Mountain Village Foundation gave $39,000 to 13 different charities that help people in Collingwood, Ontario. This money is meant to help local groups deal with the growing challenges facing families, health care workers, and small businesses across the South Georgian Bay area.
The foundation has been operating for more than 21 years and has put over $2 million back into the community since it started. This latest round of funding is an increase from February 2025, when the group gave $37,500 to 10 local organizations to help with social needs.
Much of the money for these gifts comes from the foundation’s annual charity golf event held at the Monterra Golf Course. The tournament held in September 2025 raised about $84,000, which allowed the foundation to expand its reach to more groups this year.
The foundation works to help people in many local towns, including Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Meaford, and Creemore. By giving to 13 charities, the organization is supporting those who are managing a higher demand for youth programs and other essential services that help the community.
The next big fundraiser is the 22nd annual charity golf tournament. This event takes place on September 25, 2026, at the same golf course to continue raising money for local charities and programs that residents rely on every day.
