Tourism leaders and business owners are meeting in Long Sault, Ontario, for a regional summit on April 22, 2026, to find new ways to attract visitors. The event will take place at the South Stormont Community Hall to help local hotels, restaurants, and attractions grow.

The 2026 Cornwall & SDG Counties Tourism Summit is a partnership between Cornwall Tourism and SDG Tourism. It runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and focuses on giving local business owners tools to succeed in the changing travel market.

Guest speakers will talk about how artificial intelligence is changing how people find travel information online. Other sessions will cover how to build popular travel destinations and improve leadership skills for local entrepreneurs.

The Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce will be there to help its members turn new connections into direct bookings and partnerships. This group has a history of supporting the industry, including previously facilitating $250,000 in non-repayable funding to help local tourism businesses.

This is the second year for the event, following a launch in 2025 that brought together more than 90 industry experts. Organizers moved the summit to Long Sault this year to include more areas outside the city core.
